Why to sponsor the Accredited Italian Kindergarten in Beijing?
“Number one reason why people don’t give is that they are not asked”
About the School
The Accredited Italian Kindergarten in Beijing was founded in 2015. The School is the first Italian School in Eastern Asia and it avails itself of a direct collaboration with Reggio Children, the Italian institution promoting the Reggio Emilia Approachâ in more than 145 countries and territories in the world. The School was Accredited by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and is part of the network of the 43 Italian Schools abroad (2021).
The School is non-profit and its main objective is to provide a service to Italian families in China.
Thanks to its bilingual curriculum (Italian-English with elements of Chinese language and culture), currently the School has children of 12 different nationalities (American, Canadian, French, German, Japanese, Indian, Iranian, Italian, Spanish, Thai, UK, and Ukrainian).
As such it is an incredible vehicle of cultural exchange.
The Accredited Italian Kindergarten in Beijing, as other international schools, is part of the socio-economic development infrastructure in China: these schools provide a means for children of the diplomatic service and of the expat community to transition easily from one educational system to another at any time of the year.
The School curriculum is inspired by the Italian Constitution, the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Children. Besides it has a strong focus on sustainability. By sustainability the School mainly refers to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (No.4 Quality Education) and is always developing projects about environmental education, food education, and inclusion. The School mission is for children to become everything they want to be, and to provide them with access to the best and varied learning opportunities to act as responsible global citizens.
The School staff is embracing innovation and technology in the didactics, as it is in continuous training with teachers and experts from the infant toddlers centres and kindergartens in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
We want to share, to inspire and to elevate our education environment every day.
The School was born and remains a non-profit with a social purpose mainly, but not exclusively, for the Italian community in China. Therefore companies, associations and individuals are encouraged to further the consolidation of the School. They are invited to contribute by sponsoring scholarships or providing donations of goods and services.
To date, the primary financial contribution has been provided by the Italian co-founder, while some in-kind contributions have been received from Italian companies.
The School Advisory Board strongly believe that additional sponsors should support the growth of the School in the medium and long-term financially, especially with scholarships to award to lower income families.
For the school year 2021-22 the School goal is to raise 500 thousand RMB. The School Advisory Board has started a fundraising campaign.
